Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

Yeah I found one, but not many good pics of the actual mount points. Just been looking at it and the mount points I be able to use are the fuel pump (which I am not using as I will run electric), and where I presume the alternator braket bolts up (never had a complete enough A15 to include alternato...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

BTW, anyone got any pics of a supercharger mounted on the dizzy side of an A15?

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

The other thing would be the AFM would measure the air going into the engine, and you ecu would supply fuel acordingly. So youd get lots of fual, but much of the air would be bled off, and it'd run super rich. I'm going to be running a map sensor and would bleed off before the TB so that wouldn't b...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

:? hMMMM... whats your idea? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: While that looks interesting what I am looking to do is much simpler. I am looking to run a wastegate right before the throttle body and after the supercharger. It will have a 3.6psi spring so I can run boost as low as 3.6. I will then run an ebc so ...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

Reason for having a BOV and external wastegate on a supercharged motor? Think you'd better read up how a supercharger works and what a BOV and External Wastegate does I am aware how an external wastegate works when applied to the exhaust manifold on a turbo charger setup. How well it works for what...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

Toyota had the TB on the intake side of the supercharger. Yep. I was orignally going to take the factory approach but am instead looking to run throttle body after the supercharger. If I went factory I would likey look to run an ABV, which would either utilize the factory ABV or a BOV instead. This...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410

$300 sounds in the ballpark for them supplying new tube, as at 2004/5. Sliding too much - interesting name. Sounds like someone I know.... Thanks for the good info. You can see the driveshaft in the picture with the shifter/butchered tunnel. It's prob about 50mm short, I have a spare driveshaft so ...

Re: Vaccuum fittings

Interesting - thanks.

Didn't realise they had tapered threads.

What do people usually do for this? Just braise them on?

Re: Vaccuum fittings

If you wanna go with threaded though, you'll need to make up some bosses for them to screw into, and have them welded to you plenium. How is this build coming along? Hey man, I was planning on welding some 6mm-10mm plate onto the plenum (unsure how thick yet - depends on thread really) to screw the...
