Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410
Been in the States so haven't had much time on this lately but got into the garage for a few hours today (shared between the car and my new bike as seen in Offtopic). Got the other front guard off and managed to extract a number of broken/rounded bolts and screws. A lot of time for a little progress...

Re: Jeremy's non Datsun, non Car, 1976 project
Just got back from San Fran so starting to get into this. I seem to choose the projects that are as difficult in terms of acquiring parts as anything else... Just starting to source bits to get the electrics sorted.

Jeremy's non Datsun, non Car, 1976 project
Just bought this on the weekend to do up as a cafe racer (so the 410 can tow it around :)) It is a 1976 Yamaha RD 50. Plan is for full respray (so strip right back to frame), clubman style handlebars and a bucket racer style seat. Apart from that other minor cosmetic changes and a few slight mechani...

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410
Sitting in an airport lounge ready to head off to San Fran for work for a week so figured it would be an ideal time for a quick update. Couple of weekends ago I pulled the E1 engine out and started taking the guards off (what was very difficult due to the amount of rusted bolts and screws that held ...

Re: Driveshaft for 60a to 410/411 H165
I'm 90% sure that the B310 suny driveshaft fits an H165. (The ute variety) It's only the H145's that were different. But being so old Yours may be oddball again. Can you measure the diamater of the yolk flange spigot? Here are some more pics which should give a better idea of dimensions. The OD of ...

Cool - that may work, any chance you could measure the flange dimensions, the OD of the yolk flange spigot and the bolt pattern?mint16 wrote:rectangle.

Re: Driveshaft for 60a to 410/411 H165
Yep, could be keen if shipping isn't too much. Does it have a round flange on the diff end or rectangular?mint16 wrote:ive got a spare 1200 ute two-piece driveshaft if that interests you.

Driveshaft for 60a to 410/411 H165
Hi guys, Yep, more q's from me... I'm looking for a driveshaft which has the correct splines/yoke to go from a 60a to a H165 diff. I believe a 1200 ute driveshaft does exactly that, but just aren't sure about the end flange as my H165 is from a 410/411. I have attached a picture of the flange below....

Re: Jeremy's 1965 Datsun Bluebird 410
Alright got a little bit done so thought I'd post an update: Stripped back engine ancillaries and unbolted everything but the engine mounts so it is ready to come out. Will take out the engine first leaving the gearbox to help line up the new engine and also to avoid damaging anything pulling box ou...

Re: A15 into 410/411 (E1/J series to A series swap)
By sandwich plate, you mean just a plate of steel per side of the gearbox tunnel with holes drilled for the mount? Would you bother welding it to the floor pan? Roughly what dimensions?
