apparently was on a chassis machine before i had it, so would have got the bog and paint then i guess. Even for a crap prep job its held up ok as i had it for probably 6 years and it was painted before that, and i sold it 2-3 years ago now, so paint is probably 8-9 years old?? Dam !! It has held up...

thanks man ! the plan is to do the engine conversion and restore the undercarriage,fuel, brake lines nuts and bolts for now .... get the ute on the road and certed then save some coin to do the body and interior ! body wise its the neatest ute I've owned ! I've been all over it and haven't found one...

this wkend had a saturday off due to the rain !! so i got a good few hrs on the datto ... refitted front struts, new castor rods, new say bar, new RCA and threw some paint on the wheels which didn't turn out well lol !

been a little slack getting photos up... I'm down to a couple of hrs a wkend working on the ute .... been working a lot to pay for this build lol !! diff has been wire brushed back primed and painted and is in ATM getting fully rebuilt new axles and all !

yes blast first ! blasting first will uncover all rust spots on the car and clean them out for you at the same time ! blasting first will give you a better idea of how much rust is it that area so you know how much of the panel you need to cut out .... for body work IMO i would ... strip the car rig...

when is Akaroa again ?

id like to have it running for the power cruise towards the end of the yr .... i recon ill be pushing it to have it tuned and running for that too !

finished coating the inner guards and rails in the engine bay clear coat done.... started fitting somethings off in the engine bay ! the diff will be off in a wk to have the custom handbrake cables made and should have the gearbox back !
