A few more hp would have been good, but the 96hp it did get is perfectly adequate for lugging round 1300kg of car7 Coupes wrote:Bit disappointing, as 900hp would have been nice

Re: Skyline Progress....finally
I think the reference to the Zero plane engine (The Zero engine was actually made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) was after WW2 was over, plane manufacturing and research was prohibited in Japan, so the plane manufacturing companies pretty much split up or diversified into ship building, car manufac...

The windscreen bed doesn't look too bad at all. Must have been a bit of a relief finding that it wasn't too bad.

Re: Skyline Progress....finally
Thanks Bart. I found some info I had written down that the very first owners told me when I took it to show them when I got it on the road back in 1992. At that point it had been off the road since 1980. They told me that when they went to look at it new in 1962, it was still sitting on the wharf at...

Re: Skyline Progress....finally
Thanks guys. I am so looking forward to driving it legally on the road again. It is actually a nice car to drive, a bit like driving a really comfortable couch. Dad was in the drivers seat steering it while I was driving his X-Trail towing it, and even he commented how nice it sits on the road still.

Skyline Progress....finally
Well...The progress isn't all that particularly exciting, but today I dropped the mighty Prince off at the panelbeaters to have the few little bits of rust dealt to and certified, namely a small bit of rust in both back doors within 100mm of the hinge, which is just in the outer skin, and the rust o...

Re: Datto_610's C31 Laurel Pillarless Sedan
The steering is amazing can parallel park so easy for a big car love it. For a big car they are really easy to drive, and nice to drive as well, be it in town or the open road. A very goo balance of power and economy, even for a 3spd auto. 5spd manual would be better economy wise for sure. I think ...

Re: Datto_610's C31 Laurel Pillarless Sedan
I bet you pondered over those spare bits for hours trying to work out where they might have come from....lol. The original tail lights must have been fitted to a few of the European destined C31's as they come up on ebay occasionally. I see that your factory "2.4" badge has survived and pu...
