Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Been doing little bits and pieces on this thing since lockdown, want to get it going again soon. Decided to flag making new pins as I don't think it's really necessary. Got the Z31 subframe bushes machined so I could remove the top washer and the subframe should end up in the same location height wi...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
So while I'm sitting at home I thought I may as well start to get this ready to fit some of the bushes I've had sitting around for maybe 10 years and try and sort out some of the other little issues with the rear end. The bushes I've had sitting around for ages were the rear arm bushes, I also got s...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Make a few changes regarding the fuel system, I'm going to keep the Nismo regulator that I've got but I'm going to move it to the firewall end of the rail and cut the barb off so I can put a hard line to AN adaptor on it. So I had to make an adaptor to go from the fuel rail to the reg. https://i.img...

I've got a complete R180 you can have, or James will have bits and pieces, maybe an empty housing.

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Nah, I wanted to but with the amount of dicking around making molds and stuff like that it was cheaper just to buy one. We've got some good carbon guys at work now so the finish would have been better if we'd made one.broke wrote:Fancy. Did you make that CF intake tube?

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Took this out to work with the Z Club a couple of weeks ago, went fine. I finally did something I've been wanting to do for ages which is replace the aluminium intake tube that I had with a carbon one. I had to rotate the pipe with the blow off valve on it around which I've also been meaning to do f...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Got the new latches in, had to make some bushes so I could use the hole saw in the original hole, worked out well though. These ones are long enough that I can use the locking rings with them as well, which I couldn't do with the old ones due to the thickness of the bonnet. https://i.imgur.com/fSDW4...

Re: DJZ's 280ZX
Got this back from storage on the weekend, need to get a couple of things sorted before the Nationals. I've got the new bonnet latches which look okay, they aren't that much bigger than the original ones which is good. I also want to make a box to go around the air filter and possibly change the inl...
