Re: Visiting NZ from the US

There are a lot of guys over here running the L28ET in the earlier S30's. Very popular swap. If you decide to go turbo, you'd have to change the wiring loom anyways. Keep it simple, and run it with no intercooler for a while. Just drop in the turbo motor and wiring harness. Figure out the little iss...

Re: Visiting NZ from the US

Just wanted to say thanks to Shane, Craig, Morgan, and..........was it Rob? Anyways, these guys were very hospitable, and kind enough to show me around, and show me their Datto's. Made my trip here that much more enjoyable. Hopefully we can keep in touch, and maybe I can come back to visit another t...

Re: Visiting NZ from the US

Thats too bad, I almost booked a room in Rotorua. Hopefully we can still catch up.

I'll wait to ring the other guys until either later tonight, or tomorrow. I don't know who works today, and what their hours are.

You guys sure picked some unpleasant weather for my trip! I'm currently at the Quality Inn on Marine drive in Napier. Hopefully that's not far from a few of you.

Re: Visiting NZ from the US

Well I made it. I have to say you guys have some beautiful country here. Nice drive from Wellington to Palmy. Work plans may go faster than planned, but at a mnimum I'll have the weekend to get out and do something. Maybe I could stop by the Hawkes Bay area if there's a few of you around?

hsepwr, I'll write the number down, and maybe I can stop by after work sometime. nzdatman, that might work out, as I was planning on driving north and checking out Aukland anyways. Re: Visiting NZ from the US

Yep, it's a VG30 with a Maxima intake. Took a lot of work to make that intake fit. Which is too bad because it is coming off and I will be putting a Pathfinder intake on when the new motor is finished. We are currently building a VG34 for it.

Re: Visiting NZ from the US

The company I work for makes/sells monitoring equipment for the electric power industry. I'll be installing a 8 gas chromatographic unit onto a large electric transformer. We'll see how the install goes, and hopefully I can catch up with a few of you guys afterward.
