Re: L series in a 120y
It's not that hard apparently, I did a small writeup on my site for it that might help -> http://www.datfusion.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92 A guy posted on datsun1200.com that he used a complete 510 crossmember and arms in his 120y in the USA, all bolted in (unconfirmed though). It does sound p...

Re: R31 Skyline rear caliper mounts
I was looking at pictures of dans rear caliper mounts, on his old 510. I don't really like the whole welded thing. I might look into making some out of really thick plate, and having the recess for the caliper milled into it. BUT, if you're sending stuff over Martin, whats the availability of R30 c...

Are they any major differences in the S13 and S14 blocks? S14 de blocks are hard to come by over here.

Re: R31 Skyline rear caliper mounts
Those bolt on ones for $248 are for the 290mm Z31 rotors. Whats wrong with welding the others on? you could always grind them off if you wanted to upgrade later.
Either way, I can send you a set of stock R31 rear caliper mounts if you get stuck.

Re: LSD options for your P510 1600 (or similar datsun)
Hey Dan, did you want to add the S15 helical centres out of the manual models. They are a good option. You do need the S15 inputs, but I believe they all come with the 6 bolt output flanges (the splines are different to S13/14 etc). The 6 bolt flanges should bolt to all other model (s13, s14) 6 bolt...

Re: R31 Skyline rear caliper mounts
I was just about say I'd ship you a pair for cheap, but then I checked the datsport website and they are only charging $36 for a pair of mounts, i'm wondering if this is a typo? http://datsport.com/Rear_brake_conversions.html

Re: Car Painting...
I'm currently learning what pain staking and time consuming process prepping a car for paint and making it straight. I bought a 1600 with a mate in the hope of putting a quick coat of paint on. Unfortunately the paint on mine is cracked, which means just doing a light sand isn't going to cut it, I'v...
