Well the 12ie is rolling so looking forward to meeting you guys finally at the cruise.
Just run the engine in on a trip to Riverton (Turn right at Invercargill and follow the coast) and back to ChCh, went great, but no Low speed circuit on the carbs made town work and cold starts interesting.
Very disappointing only saw one other Datsun on the road there and back, saw a 610 rusting in a yard and the 620 rusting advertising some cafe on the south end of Timaru, but had to get all the way back to Dunsandel before I spotted a pale Blue 720 coming toward me.
On my count Datsuns are rare, 3 times as rare as E Type Jags or Aston Martins, looks like I made the right choice.
Looking forward to Labour weekend, hopefully with an idle.
