The 910 lives again!.....
Thanks so much to Bart for doing the manual conversion for me, and getting all the jobs done to get it back on the road - a true GC
Also thanks to Brocky & Leppa for helping out through the process.
Nett result is my wee bro now has a set of wheels to get him around.
Drives remarkably well, just needs more low!
When it turned up from its drive back to Timaru, I quickly threw on the new wheels, and they look pretty sweet
Few wee jobs to sort out, but its basically good to go. Just gonna hold on to it for 6 months or so, for my brother to use, and give me a car for Akaroa, as my coupe will not be ready

That looks great Kitch, you will have to change the thread title now. Amazing what a bumper can do!

Yeah Dyl, long weekend so I might get those cutties in, do you remember if the springs remain captive? last thing I want is a wee coloured sticker on the windscreen.....

Re: Kitchs scruffy 910
from memory im not too sure, remember going for a wof and failing on the rear being uncaptive, and not the front which surprised me. im not too sure which ones are uncaptive, but they are not stupidly low, so shouldnt be too much of a cop magnet. failing that, just pull the inserts out, bung a bit of steel tube over it and out them back together

^ That will only work with oil inserts. Worse come worse, just pay to have the inserts shortened. That said, if the inserts are a bit rooted, it's not that much of an expense to buy replacement ones. And then it will look and handle mean. Well worth it IMO. Rooted shocks kill a cars handling.
