Hey guys..

Managed to burn out one side of my voltage regulator.. must have shorted something out..

anyone have one kicking around that I can buy/have..

Can you buy them new? I got a brand new one with some random trademe deal.
Current whips: 1976 120y datsun van-1977 JZX31 toyopet markII coupe-1984 Toyota markII supercharged -Yamaharley XV 500

My advice would be to take this fantastic cloud with a silver lining opportunity and fit an alternator with an internal reg.
Very simple to do and chances are it will be of a much higher output than the one you have on there now.
Great for when you upgrade your lights by fitting relays and new cable direct to your battery.

If not any decent auto sparky shop will have on on the shelf for you to buy.

Sounds like the go.. whats the easiest way to bypass the old reg when I run the internal?

So I got an internally regulated alternator got rid of some wires.. seems to work.. sorted.
