well this is my hc31 nissan laurel. got it off an old dude, who was 1st owner since being imported from japan in 1984. has 100000km on it and no rust to speak of.
plans are to get fit a RB30et to it with associated bits and bobs. will upgrade the brakes possibly to gtst 4 and 2 pots. i have toyota hilux 4 pots for it but they are a bit heavy.
have given it a quick jet black paint job, but will do a full bare metal respray and panel and paint when time and money allows.
the wheels pictued are what i have got for it. they are koya drift teks and are 17x8 all round. will also be doing a fully adjustable suspension swap as well as an LSD and new bushes, ball joints etc
for the interior i may keep it pretty OEM or just strip it, throw a cage and race seats in it and just have fun with it.

Re: dirtyleppa's hc31 laurel
not in physical work, but got me a vl commy wagon for $500. gonna nick the 5 speed, d/shaft and rb30 and start off with that. just need to remove it, hopefully this weekend.
then maybe have a go at some engine mounts and xmember.
have ditched the plan to run a rb20 as they are mega shit, and am goin to run a big turbo SOHC rb30.

nah, not really. there is about 3mm clearance to the trailing arms on the rear and 1mm to the front struts. ill end up having to run 25mm spacers just to be sure.
as of now, this car is destined for the scrap. but i have scavenged all the good parts to donate to the red one.
this has to be one of my biggest regrets, but shit happens and you move on.
RIP mighty laurel
