Yeah his car has a steering box in it though, pretty sure you need to lock the steering with those things

Kane just a framed his 120y wagon from up north to chch two days ago. Said it towed like a dream.Dont think it was rego or wof. Ask him to confirm tho

I read some where you need a reg and wof but wasnt fussed and had a sob story sorted. Towed well and felt better than a car trailer and the only rope used was to hold the engine in. Ferry cost $280 one way and then fuel where Jeffs quoted me $800 base to base.
Put it back together John and drive it down or you can use my 'A' frame and tow it down or pay Jeffs and have a beer.

I A-framed my old mk1 Cortina from Alexandra to Chch pre-rego and wof. Thought it was illegal too but passed police and nothing was done about it. Safe as houses (in other provinces).

Wouldnt bother with hose around the pinch welds, the doors if hung half decently wont chafe the body. A rag around the pillars will suffice and tape the doors closed around the pillars too.

Captain transporter are great but not going/pushing only costs extra. Free quotes online

Engine is in Christchurch already. And I'll only have like, 2 days to prepare and load up. Apparently I need a running, legal 510 by February.....
