Re: 120Y F/S - whats it worth?
$1500-$2000 as is and once legal maybe $2000-$2500. Some one would buy this for their kid as a first car. Cnt wait for the 120y to get up with the 110s and 510s

Re: 120Y F/S - whats it worth?
thanks for the feedback and opinions guys.
I am not that clued up on 120Y specs etc, but the Steering wheel is definately 210 GX has I have been investigating these for a while for a possible option for my 1200 coupe.
I can get car a little cheaper without the wheels, but still more than by the sounds of it than what you guys think its worth.
the guy thinks it has 74,000 original km, but I think it has gone round once and has done 174,000km, as it did -17,000 in 12 years!
I would think with a reasonable set of 13"/14" wheels, and tidied up and brought up to roadworthy specs, new reg/wof it would be worth around $1800, and probably more like $2200 if was converted to a manual.

IMO you gotta look at what sunnys are going for nowadays - i think 210's are worth the same if not more - especially for a good one - dads currently looking at a mint sedan for around $3k with about 60kms

Re: 120Y F/S - whats it worth?
yeah, I am not the biggest 120Y fan, but thought they have to be worth 310 money minimum.
I could have picked up a tidy yellow original square headlight sunny, A12 4 speed, very ridgy didgy, brand new recored radiator (much like your old one with the rising sun and widened steels) wof & reg on hold, a couple of months back for $1500.
Unsure if I parked these cars side by side which one I would choose ?....
(but probably the 210 though to score the round turny thingy for my coupe) and I prefer 70's datto's too

That looks a lot better than I thought Kitch. Great for it's age. Looks like GX, centre consul wood grain dash tacho, the works. Always good to have a tacho in an Auto

need to change my opinion, for some reason i thought you were talking about a coupe, with a 4 speed and decent stance these can look very tough, car in picture I think maybe $1500 would be absolute top doller, but tidyd up maybe some sidedraughts and lowering job, could be worth 4-5, shame mickey doesnt have a build thread on here, as his is a great example of how one of these should look.

Re: 120Y F/S - whats it worth?
cheers lads - yeah its solid enough I reckon.
got the green light from the Mrs tonight so can proceed if I want to!
She is just talking to me again after I brought a cheap WRX a couple of weeks ago on a whim
sold that yesterday, and made a wee profit to soften the purchase price of the 120Y... if I so choose.
coupe is going out to panel shop for a couple of months in probably a month, so gap in the garage, and
I have been very poor with Akaroa attendance in last couple of years! although A12 Auto will test my patience!

Re: 120Y F/S - whats it worth?
yeah Wal you are right -
I expect there may be a "WTB - 210 pedal box" thread in the near future...
all other bits I can probably source locally easy enough, yeah I could convert in 6-8 beers I reckon
