So, this is kind of cheeky, but I'm on here with my first post to pick your collective brains.
My dad passed away a couple of weeks ago, and left me his 1977 Datsun 180B.
It has rust in the body, separating vinyl top, original interior, loose steering, but will still truck along at 100kph, and is WOF'd until May 2013. It has spent all it's life in the Waikato, starting with Matamata and ending with Hamilton. My dad bought it in 1984 and put approx. half of its 88,036km on the clock.
Question: What do you think a starting bid on Trademe or Sella should look like?
History has little/nothing to do with its value, I know, but humour me on this one.

These aren't that common.
Depending on how rusty it is, maybe try $2-2.5K. You can always accept less.

They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

Thanks Bartman. My bro-in-law is a mechanic and he suggested $2k as well. I split the difference to start bidding at 2,250.
The listing is now live on trademe.
I would have loved to use sella, but I just want the eyeballs to move this.

Sweet looking dash. The lights on the rear tray appear to be period high Stop lights, the first "fit yourself" lights were like this, later they fitted to the screen with shrouds. Real retro right there.
