Think the Ute prop shaft Luke has is the two piece one with the central Uni-joint (h165)
The coupe OEM one will be H145 not H150.
Wonder if my H165 from circletrack is ready Luke, as mentioned you can test fit to yours to make sure its all good, and compare to your other prop shafts.

This is by far the easiest way that Broke has said, I did it on my blue car, but we got the tank modified on the orange car, $500 later and we still need to fit a better pump to it. Plus you'll get an extra 2 litres of gas in the system (in the surge tank). You need a good lift pump. I'm only using a dirty old facet pump but it does the trick for me.broke wrote:I think it would be better to do an external fuel pump and under car surge tank than welding your tank up. Pretty much just do what Kitch did on his.

I am only using an el cheapo' facet for my lift pump too (when it is installed)
but hats prob all it needs to keep up as I am N/A afterall
my Bosche 044 will obviously easily deal with the feed flow rate to the injectors with ease
for my wee 130hp (?) setup

can someone draw using paint or similar what these lift pumps etc are? like a fuel tank to engine styled thing? havent really studied up on this side of things yet.......
gave up on the bottom arms bush swap, good fucking god theyr in there good and proper.
interior half stripped out, dash out, heater out, just general clutter to relocate
on a cheeky side note front end is all together once again and back on the garage floor, im just gonna get the thing running and then restrip it after akaroa.
engine might be in tomorrow night if someone lends me their crane?

Go through my 120Y thread Luke and ul c the one I've done its pretty simple but works
Re: Luke's GA16DE Coupe -list of shit to do before nats
what need i buy? fuel related? a pump, surge tank, and something else?
big thanks to brock today for the advice and the engine crane.
ENGINE IN
GBOX IN
H165 IN
INTERIOR STRIPPED
BACK ON ALL 4 WHEELS
goes to warricks asap for underseal spray under whole car, if he has time il get 2 coats done. also getting a nice crossmember made for gearbox.
turns out that once engine and box are sitting forwards the 10-15mm they need, my coupe driveshaft is the perfect length, just has wrong flippin flange on it (h145)

I can sort out your fuel system for you if you like Luke. I can make up a nice little alloy undercar surge tank, and mount the pumps etc

Hey luke, how did you work out your drive shaft was 10-15mm too short?
When the drive shaft is installed at ride height it isnt meant to go all the way home on the spline, it should be back a bit (maybe someone can confirm exact amount) because your diff moves in an arc the driveshaft needs to be able to move backwards and forwards on the spline
15mm might actually be ok or you might need to shorten your driveshaft a sniff
