I have a L6 internal reg alt unknown condition though. Will compare to the pic you posted tomorrow. Is there a way to bench test them?

I'm unsure if 4cyl L18 is the same as 6cyl but I popped an RB25 alternator on my L26, all it needed was the pulley machined to an acceptable length and it's fine and dandy.

Aren't rb25 serpentine belts or did you fit the l series pulley to the rb alt or am I wrong in saying they are serpentine/ribbed

I'll have a look at the one I have tomorrow. From what I've seen on the net it's common to use an L6 IR alt on L4's etc. No idea on condition but you could have it for the price of postage if your really stuck.
