That's some pretty nasty rust! Planning on fixing this shell or source another?

Leaning towards reshelling but may end up restoring this one. If I do reshell the new body will most likely have rust as well so can't decide. Tackle this shell n have mostly new steel or get another and possibly be in the same situation

Is that the worst of the rust? I wouldn't think the shell was unsaveable looks like a great project, for what you may pay for another shell (unknown condition)) you could get a fair amount of repairs done.

So far, going to strip the fenders etc this week. The whole under chassis has that horrible paint on underseal, going to scrape it off while its on axle stands.
Only thing of real concern is passengers side front chassis rail.

Have decided to reshell. Most of the car is rusted away. Instead of rust being repaired properly it was either filled over and brush on underseal over top or just underseal over rust. Massive amounts of the shit all over it. Yet another datto claimed by rust/poor repairs

Re: 1972 Datsun 240z
Saw that, I suspect it is a guy I was in contact with from Zclub, he offered me a 260z rolling body for the same price
I have found one even better down here in Dunedin, freshly restored and strengthened chassis with a ton of goodies, had a supercharged 355 v8 in it. Copper in color, once I have picked it up i'll take some photos.
