take note of rust. Look at the usual places and if that shows no sign look at the unusual places. it will have rust at some point.

Are you talking about a datsun 510 1600? take note they were only in production 68-72

yes its a 510... i know my sunny rusted out along the roof gutters right around the whole car...

rear guards ,front guards, sills, under rear seats

from a pic ive seen it looks good....so far..will find out next weekend..

what sort of price do spares usually go for? like guards, doors, tail lights and grilles etc?

dont want to be getting into a car i cant get parts for you know..

Doors, tail lights, grills are easily to get hold of and cheap enough. I have all that if need be, But front guards are like hens teeth.
Expect to pay about $100 per guard that's in need of repair
