i wouldnt imagine so, but if you are worried, just jack up the rear, remove the wheels and rest the car on the rims if you dont have any stands.
whats the condition of the rest of the car like?

Re: 910 Wagon Project
Really good actually, was owned by a mechanic since 84-09, had been sitting for 5 months before i got it and only thing wrong now is the diff and the rust on the back windows.
Every light worked but the center light but ive done that already and tomorrow ill reset the valves cause she spits and farts a lil when cold and the tappets are a little noisy, but ill get some more photos tomorrow of the interior and the rusted areas.

Re: 910 Wagon Project
the steel lines? if is possible to do it yourself with some bundy tube, a bender and flaring tool, but if you dont have those, take some measurements and go to undercar and commercial and get some new ones made up. failing that take the whole housing in to them

Re: 910 Wagon Project
You need a double flare on brake lines, and not all flaring tools can produce them. Bundy tube is very cheap. Best to buy some, then get a brake shop to do the flaring for you. Butler auto mart might gear to do the job. (Or at least they used to if memory serves me correctly) Safe R Brakes do too, but they are a bit pricey in my experience.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............
Re: 910 Wagon Project
i sell double flaring tools at my work, i don't know how much they are though.
actually there is a diff housing on my patio in the rain if you want to salvage the lines off them.
its the housing that diff came out of.
