Not just looking the part, its making all the right sounds now too

Got an A15 short block freshened up last week, with new rings, bearings, hone etc, and all fully cleaned and tested I have slapped a new cam in it (courtesy of the awesomely helpful Henry @ Auckland Cams) got my flows, lightened fly, excedy clutch, and worked oval port head that I had previously used on my A12 fitted up too, along with the side suckers I scored off the 120Y rally car (possibly over-jetted for the more mild tune on this motor). Also got a recon 60A in there. couple of challenges, but a successful weekends efforts. did about 60 miles in it today, and it is fun! loving the A15 low down grunt, and once run in, and dellortos tuned, I imagine its going to go real well. it is so responsive from the A12 I was used to.

Well I have done about 140 miles on new motor, and it is going real well.
Just have to tweak the exhaust as the higher engine height, has meant the flows are hard up against the floor.
Also the dellorto throttles are not fully shutting, resulting in 2,500rpm idle! New throttle cable guide didnt help, so I need to beef up the return springs I think.

DONT!!!!! Its those engine mounts. Once you get a ute cross member in there, it sorts out the height issue. Had the same problem in Monty.

Brendan told me that ute Xmembers tend to mount the engine higher that the sedans did.

I will have a measure up, as 1m from Wilbur is Flo... (the coupe) which just so happens has an A15 sitting in on Ute x-member....
although the gearbox is fouling on the mount points preventing me from "squaring" up the motor fully
