Autoclutch in akl is your best bet. they do custom builds to your reqirements

Yup I think that was it "Autoclutch". The didn't need to build a custom one in my case I don't think, just sent me the correct one. I didn't ask for heavy duty but meh, seems to work like a dream so far and cost sweet FA.

Take your clutch down to Nelson Clutch and Brake services and they will get you sorted. They really only need to know spline count, size and clutch diameter.

They wil either make you one or source you one.

Yeah, datsunboy helped me wire my Z18ET up, and after seeing it done it isn't overly complicated. I ended up stripping the entire loom apart to try and find a few faults and it is pretty simple once you have it apart. I can take some photos of particular parts if you would like them explained. You pretty much wire some stuff up in the relay/battery area (power, earth, etc), and wire up a relay for your fuel pump, and you are away laughing.

I had trouble finding a clutch as well. It took a couple of goes getting one that fit as APPCO didn't list anything for Z18ET. Ended up getting it sent to a place in Auckland (can't remember the name just now) and sent down a new one which was perfect :thumbsup:

Sweet thanks any pixs wood help a lot. I email the old owner & he told me that ca18det hav the same clutch cause they both 225mm & 24 spline so i have order one of them. Are there any pros of lighting the flry wheel?

Will try and take some good pics for you. Are you just wanting to see how it's wired up?

If you lighten the flywheel then the engine will rev more freely (because there is less rotating mass). Essentially this means that the acceleration is more rapid, but the car can also be less "smooth" (not sure if that's the right word but I think you know what I mean) to ride in.
If you button off the accelerator it will decelerate more rapidly and this makes it seem more stop-startish.

yes plz pics of hows it wired up. So do u think lighting the fly wheel is a good idear or just stay std?

Sweet as, I'll try and grab some before I pull the engine out.

As for the lightened flywheel it really depends what you are going for in your ute. If you are making it with performance as the key objective then you could probably look into getting the flywheel lightened. However, if you want it to be more of a cruiser and comfort is a bit more important, then I wouldn't bother.

I left pretty much everything about my engine standard and it still hums along pretty well in my 610. It isn't as fast as a modern performance car (EVO, Turbo Silvia, etc) but it isn't a slug either.

As you can see, there isn't much to it. Those are the main connections you need to run the car. +ve, Aux, "On", Earth, and a few to the coil. If you want anything specific explained more let me know.

I would love to help ya out being a Nelsononian. But until my Datsun is on the road and ready to go I just dont have the time. If you are still waiting to get it sorted in a month ish I may have time to come over and help you wire it up :D In any case I would love to have a look at your setup some stage and talk bullshit over a beer or coffee.
