what ratio u running that could be the problem why u ruining diff heads other wise u might try a ute diff head what i did was just put a 3mm spacer in between the head and the housing and it lined up

well my 1st one i fkd i swaped my m8 for one he had lying round when he did ministock racing an that was sweet then i had to get cert n he pulled me up on alot of sht n took my car to dads m8s workshop he fixed some stuff up an said tryed finding a noise said it was my diff then asked if i could get one tryd na.. then he got 1 an put it in an then iz like well wheres my one n he said he threw it out ..bullsht.. now iv just got some standard one in at the moment thats goin clock now after a week or 2.. theirs a guy that does just diffs or something in his garage should i go see him? i dont have a clue bout diffs realyl but i swaped one ova how much do you want for your diff? give me a txt on sometime 027-417-7804.

was the one u got of ure mate locked most of the ministock ones are itll be worth while pulling ure one apart and having a look to see if u can see whats causing it to clonk might be a bearing or even beta lose nuts

Check that you haven't stretched your tailshaft bolts. I've hed them come loose on a 1200 I used to own. That will give you a clonking noise.

ok sweet.. havent been under to look at it this w.e what are the tailshaft bolts? but yea when get it out have a good look.. how do youz normally get the oil back in?a squirty bottel

The four bolts that hold the tail shaft to the differential.
I have a pressure pot tool that uses compressed air to pump the oil into the diff.

someone on here must have a spare diff head? i just want to throw one in to get around an not listen to the wining noise an go on the akaroa cruise.. i have a diff head thats fkd an one in the car thats got some fkd bearings i guess..could maybe swap parts over i dont know?

cheerz matt but hes in auckland, looking for one in CHCH i hada ph call on saturday about someone that had one got it advertised for wantd in trademe but he rung me of a private number,only problem is he said hasnt heard it running
