the moment i realised i had done something really stupid, was when my head became engulfed in a massive ball of flames from the power steering line i cut through using the oxy acetylene plant. good bye eye brows, good bye facial hair

i had just finished painting the 140 and driving home to find i hadnt latched the bonnet down properly as it flew up and bent the hinges and the air grill then when i got home was showing off to my brother and did a little skid at the shed door as my shity brakes let go and i chiped my new paint and dented my gard on the lawn mower

i guess me chucking an extra fast gear on my nitro rc truggy and going full speed over first jump at hornby bmx track could be considered instantly regretful as it jumped so far it landed on the next jump a good 50ft away and bent in half hhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaahahahahahhaa and then to top it off i straightened everything out did and epic heli and the tire got sooo much cetrifugal force on it it exploded!!! a good $200 buck day out as i also stripped the new gear not even one tank of gas

Some good ones on here boys.
One that springs to mind for me was the day I sold a Mazda 808 when I was about 18. Fresh panel and paint, cruised all the way to the guys house in the sticks and decided I would put my foot down a bit when I turned into the gravel driveway. Well the ass end of the car careened sideways and hit a fence post leaving a HUGE dent in the rear left quarter panel. What a mutant. BUT he still bought it, albeit a lot cheaper!
I even have a photo the same day I sold it, pre dent.
Ahhh hindsight

Yeah bonnet flipped up, done that one before before Xmas last year
I imagine it could be harder to find Z31 than other datsun parts as there are not many being wrecked or evern that many in NZ
after that i put the safety catch on

I think we've all done the bonnet one! I did it as a young fella with one of my mini;s, its really hard to spot the parked cars through the slit under the bonnet. Thankfully I didn't hit any!

This must of been a fault with minis because I remember we were clapped going down valley road in pram when the bonnet flipped, Still there was 2 of us looking through the slit and one out the window with the foot still hard up it My cousins are awesome.nick_m wrote:I think we've all done the bonnet one! haha classic,
Mine was my fault. I'd been doing my weekly maintenence ( fucking british cars) and forgot to latch the bonnet pins
On a side note fuck mini's are fun to cane the tits off ay

and having owned 20 odd i have to admit to having the bonnet open when going tits out, and the battery fell out the bottom of the rusty boot in another, when getting some air over a speed bump.
