Nah, unless things have changed since I was there, they only do a form of industrial hard chroming which isn't shiny. They do nickel plating (which is the same as chrome, but doesn't include the final step which adds the depth of shine). I had heaps of my Impala bits nickel plated. They also do anodising!
But I think the electroplating bay is run by civilans now (Safe-Air?), so it's hard to get bits plated. The government has slowly wiped out most of the perks of being in the armed forces.
