The Difference may be that these 5x1 input shafts came from a Z32 Non turbo and not the typical R32/S13/other common Nissan stuff

I hope the rest of it's going well and you get it sorted soon.

EDIT >
after reading through this http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/top ... o-and-why/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It sounds as through some R200's had larger diameter input shafts that kept the same number of splines.

From my reading it sounds that 5x1 input shafts had the smaller 30 spline axles and that 6x1 input shafts had the larger 30 spline axles.

I have no idea about the 3x2 input shafts but is it possible somebody is confusing R180 input 3x2 shafts with R200 3x2 input shafts ?

Greg if you get desperate and DO have to unbuild your axles and swap CV's end over I can supply you with the 5x1 CV ends in exchange for you 3x2 CV ends to give you a matched set.

but like you say it would be mega hassle.

Were not the Z32's fitted with the R230 on account of the bigger torquier V6?
They could well be confusing the R180, and R200 unputs. I think all the R180's were 3x2.

Heres my basic knowledge. Im prob wrong in a few areas.

S15 has larger shafts across its range of R200 diffs VLSD HLSH OPEN i think to. 3X2 shafts

S14 R32 R33 S13 etc R200s all had the same size shafts but different patterns for the S chassis and R Chassis 5X1 and 3X2

R32 GTR (and GTS4) had R200 (possibly larger shafts different splines count) 6X1
R33 R34 GTR had R230 with 6X1
Z32 Turbo had R230 and 6X1 and Non Turbo R200 6X1

I thought all 5X1 and 3X2 shafts where the same spline count length and diameter
I know jack all about anthing that had 6X1 pattern (EXCEPT the S15 Stuff).

Well the myth has been busted and my 5x1 shafts fitted into Barts 3x2 LSD. Same spline count and shaft diameter.
So... anyone got any 3x2 VLSD input shafts????
