I thought I was starting low (expecting to pay more) but not 2k more lol.

I was thinking more in the 400-500 range.

Looks like I will be waiting a few years for one.

There's a guy on e-bay Australia selling these ocassionally. The last two he had had a start bid of $1200.00 au each. He is based in Japan and wrecks Datsuns,but you'd be dreaming or BLOODY lucky if you got one at the price you were thinking of.
Anyway,get your car on the road and think of those things later. In case you are interested check him out, his username is tokyo-2u. Actually he is a nice guy to deal with but he is there to make money.

$1200 is generally the minimum you would pay for one these days. There was a time when they were $600-700, but those days are long gone.

And you still have to restore them :S Only way is to get one from japan directly (by going over).

Yeah I think I'll hang on to it for now :)

Like these guys are saying they don't usually come up for under a grand these days, I think I paid $600 plus shipping & commission etc for mine about 6 years ago
