You don't get a refund if the ltsa (or whatever they're called now) say you can't use it?
I'd Argue that under the consumer garantees act, the product must be fit for purpose. The actually say in their (gay as fuck) ads that they last forever.
I did hear that "50killa" was recalled, and was "187 50".
I used to txt my ideas in for shits and giggles, and some I got a reply saying, "sorry that plate is forbidden" or some shit like that. However, some I tried that were properly offensive, didn't carry that reply, and were suposedly still available.
Somehow I think "DIEJEW" and "GASJWS" And "ZYKLNB" Would never be made if you were stupid enough to order them.
I'd quite like "DSTRYU" or "OWNYOU" which were still available last time I looked.
But black plates are much cooler.

original black plates for the win. if i got a personalized plate it would be going on a car with a white plate, it would be silly to remove the black plate.

Black plates are better, you cant get personalised plates done black and its illegal to paint them black. I still see a few cars around with painted plates and have done for many years.

That's handy.
My dad has a VF Valiant convertable with dead plates that are black.

Thats awesome news for some people! I dont have the plates from when the rego lapsed on my C110 and it was re regd. Wish I did, then I might have been able to use them. Although in reading that again it suggests it will only work for people whos rego have lapsed and no attempt has been made to get car back on road.
I guess I will have to stick to my shit white ones with no meaning cause Im not paying $839 for one that says something pretty.

Last time I checked, HITLER was unavailable (but not forbidden), someone had ZYKLON until some dick complained about it, can't see what's so bad about a word that just means cyclone in German, there was a big media stink last year I think about a woman with ARYAN1. A couple that run a car restoration outfit in Wellington had some big yank tank painted up like an old US police car with USAPIG that got pulled. They weren't happy!
