Yep, it's a VG30 with a Maxima intake. Took a lot of work to make that intake fit. Which is too bad because it is coming off and I will be putting a Pathfinder intake on when the new motor is finished. We are currently building a VG34 for it.

I live in Taupo which is a bit over half way from Wellington to Auckland, and about three hours north of Palmy North. Not sure exactly what my work commitments are around that time but should be able to catch up if you're keen. Have a few unfinished datsun projects. Taupo is one of the more scenic towns on the route from Wellington to Auckland so could be worth a stop to look around if you have time.

hsepwr, I'll write the number down, and maybe I can stop by after work sometime.

nzdatman, that might work out, as I was planning on driving north and checking out Aukland anyways. I could stop by on the way and see these unfinished projects of yours.

85Z31, I don't believe my car is on Z31 Performance, unless someone else has posted pics there of it. I did a full wire tuck while I was at it. Very happy with the result, but it was years in the making to get everything the way it is now.

Well I made it. I have to say you guys have some beautiful country here. Nice drive from Wellington to Palmy. Work plans may go faster than planned, but at a mnimum I'll have the weekend to get out and do something. Maybe I could stop by the Hawkes Bay area if there's a few of you around?

You guys sure picked some unpleasant weather for my trip! I'm currently at the Quality Inn on Marine drive in Napier. Hopefully that's not far from a few of you.
