Howzit.
Nice topic. This weekend I am installing a 40 Dellorto DHLA with a Linx Manifold onto my 160J that has an L20B motor and 5 speed gear box.
I will have to fix the threads on 2 ports in the cylinder head. Seem stripped. My question would be, since I will have to Heli coil repair those threads, would studs be better option than using bolts ? Would rather have studs and not mess anymore with the coil inserts again.
Anyone tried this before ? Any issues with mounting on studs ?

I am picking they are the Std 6mm thread, could you over size everything and retap head to 8mm, just fitting bigger studs, probably mare durable than Helicoils

Definitely studs is the way to go. Will do just that, looking for good quality studs.

Use 10.8 then. Wurth do nice manifold studs.

The standard L series studs are M8x1.25.
