Ok thanks for that.it's good to see that we have two old scca cars in NZ this one and my one.be very good to see the two of them on the race tracks in NZ.I have had some emails from the guy who done all the work on my one in the 70s he knows some very cool things about the car that I did not know.I will be puttin lots of things on here about this car. paul Newman the actor had a go in this car in the 70s very cool.but I will put more about it up soon.Kitch wrote:A few 'Brownys' - all down here in Timaru....
Dave Brown "Brownie" sadly passed away February 2 years away, and he had the awesome Shell sport spec Cherry (still in the family as far as I am aware) his twin brother Laurence built the Findlays bakery shell sport replica 1200 coupe, which Wayne Murdoch now owns, and it is his Dave's son Richard who has that mint left hook 510, that you guys have posted pictures of.
Bart the "Brownie" you are referring too, is Bruce Brown, who does club sport & classic racing in an Orange 1200 coupe, with a Wayne Murdoch screamer A series in it, which was recently for sale on trademe. no relation to Dave / Richard as far as I am aware.
That is a very nice car.Bartman wrote:Shane (BRE510) on this forum owns a truely stunning BRE510 look alike, up in Hawkes bay. Although his car is a sreet driven vehicle.
