i intend to buy a ute thats all but done!!!!! wof and reg/cert if it needed it  lol it will not be a project car, it will be my motorbike transporter to ruapuna and back so if i crash i aint walking home, plus flippin handy for towing and transporting datsun parts....plausibly for the coupe......AND a going datsun for cruises till the coupe is finished. if i keep it.

i cant give up any garage space due to the 5 bikes and spare parts for the coupe/daytona. iv had to downsize from 4car garaging to 2.5. for good/till i can afford to build an extra garage so anothers car isnt gonna work as well as hoped.

however the working bee idea iv considered seriously as the realistic way to approach the coupe, its just finding the time to sort it out. who doesnt love a beer right?

I know how you feel, my 510 is just languishing while I do other stuff, but I've found the key is to have some other project that's a total nightmare by comparison - now that I'm in the middle of manualising the Laurel and trying to sell the 260C I've found my desire to work on the 510 increasing in proportion to how much I want to just shove all of my other cars off a big cliff.

And I second what gingofthesouth said, take some of the money you were going to spend on a ute and maybe put on a big BBQ/beers shout in exchange for a few people coming and helping one weekend, I think you'll find once you get it closer to completion you'll be very motivated.

I've highlighted in bold all the problem areas that need to be removed in order for you to finish your coupe, as well as adding some helpful suggestions and tips which I have underlined Sell all that 2 wheeled stuff and anything British. Let's face it, the coupe is way cooler than any of that stuff and bikes are for fat old men and people who've given up working on their cars.

well, good golly miss molly that was a stern talking to!!! i might sell 1 bike soon, maybe. 2 arent mine even!

iv allowed to have a beer party/ working bee with the funds, in fact iv allowed for bit of everything on top of the price of a ute.

i will however be keeping the triumph, i have a datsun for practicality and a coolness factor, i have a bike for speed and fun! a datsun is fun just not in the same way.

as for this 4age ute.....tell me more, ideally i would prefer A series 5spd etc but i can maybe cope with that

In a month my Nephew is headed to the Superbike rounds in the North Island, might be a spare seat there. Round 4 is March 16 in Hampton Downs.
