What did you prime the pump with? Grease or oil? How long have you been cranking it and is it cranking at full speed?

Also did you fill the oil filter also.
Best thing I have found to prime the pump with is Petroleum Jelly, breaks down in oil and disappears.

Lucas (Or moreys) heavy duty oil stabiliser. Get some of that into your pump, and it can suck the chrome off a towball.
They don't call me the man with the rubber arm for nothing you know.............

yea i filled the filtter. it seems to be cranking at full speed.just used oil to prime the pump. il give that lucas oil ago and see what that does. cheers.

Id try prime the pump again and turn it over by hand. Make sure ya have the pump nice and full when it goes on and all air out of it,
Sorry i don't even know how a A series pump works but thats what id do on a L series
