To clarify, I do or do not require cotton overalls? I'll be there in the Z, fuel filler hose, passenger seat belt and replacement drivers seat pending :)

That was a complete joke how last year some club members could use there modern Nissans and other members couldnt.

Im pretty keen to have a go in the wagon this year.

Ive got a mate with a sunny who wants to have a go, does he have to sign up to the club for this?

There is a discount for club members for this event, which when taken into consideration with other discounts would make it well worth while signing up. :D but no you don't have to, non members can run.

Hi can you please clarify, re below:

A) suggests no helmet requirements, yet in general safety requirments further down it says approved helmets & overalls.

also under A) re Passengers, what are safety requirments to take my 7 year old for a spin round the track?

thanks
kitch

Track time will be split into
A] road cars with no Helmets requirements and passengers allowed max speed on the straights at 140km per hour. No passing except on the straights.

It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they comply with the safety requirements.

- All cars must have or be to Wof standard.
- Battery must be securely fastened (No Plastic clamps (from Repco), cable ties bungies etc. Insulated Terminals
- No oil can get to track if Motor blows etc, Sealed breather circuits or Catch cans
- All drivers for open track testing are to be wearing cotton overalls
- All drivers for open track testing are to be wearing an approved helmet
- Passengers are permitted refer to A and C only and must comply to driver requirements.
- Cars must be clean and free of any loose objects inside, If you have a fire extinguisher, boxed speakers, Amp or other heavy object make sure it is securely 'Bolted down' Self tapping screws may not hold in a shunt, and you don't want to get hit by something like that!!!
- No racing. This includes following too close to the car ahead
- Overtaking is only to be executed on the straights
