Nope that's no SR head imn sure of that but i don't know what,
Man it never seems to amaze me how much cooler old school car people are. Always willing to try the weirdest combinations and get out the engineering skills, rather than just +T and wind boost into it till it blows up mentality of today's youth.

Nope :) this is fun! What's the most closely related non Japanese engine to the L series?

And Wal, we'll save the gear drive OS Giken head pictures for last :)

Wish I'd logged in earlier, I remember seeing a build thread with that Mercedes head, I think the guy gave up on it in the end, but the bore spacing was the same.

I suspect the Merc Head was one of those great idea's to be especially diffident that cost too much and didn't go very far.

I don't really see how a non engine builder could do it without a budget of at least 10K.

There must be some pictures of RB's or similar dressed up to look really classic and classy ?

How do they deal with oil and water galleries not lining up?

Peter Mcdonnell was building the RB/L in Australia, but I don't think he got it finished due to time constraints working on customer cars, now he isn't in the engine building game anymore as his boss closed their shop down (unfortunate as he shared some cool builds).

I don't get the RB20E, only advantage I see there is a cross flow head, not worth the hassle, but RB26 head is awesome.
