Finally braved the cold and got my A into Gear and had a play around in the shed.
Front suspension is nearly ready.

It gets tricky when you have 2 toys to play with.

Hey Buzzy
Coil over springs are TM ones but have made my own style kit i.e.
These have been made to slip over strut and actually sit in the original lower spring mount, so they can be put in and pulled out until I have it certed
I will weld on later down the track.

The threaded collar sits ontop of these.
The top of the spring fits into these bosses I had machined up. these allow you to run the original tops with the rubber center and original bearing between

I have a couple of sets of the bottom collars and bosses if your interested
Now with my camber plates I may have to change the top hats a little.

Well duck me it nearly passed, quite impressed.
Needs:
1) Replace front wheel bearing - just brought 2 new ones hopfully fit tonight
2) Adjust rear brakes and hand brake - hand brake might be a head ace due to the adjuster being threaded but hopfully be able to swap with the unused one in race car, then have a play with the drums
3) Front indicator not working - ops forgot about this one
again will pinch the one from the race car.
Woo-ho

rear brakes are shit on 1200's, even with playing around with adjustments!

Hey, thanks for the complement regarding the orange 510 69er. All you need is a thin band of silver where the tyre touches the rim for contrast and you should be able to keep those rims. Maybe remove paint or powder coating or whatever it is and it will change whole appearance.
Bernie.
