it all depends on the combination of the plate, flywheel, and release bearing carrier.
im running an a15 with full sandwich plate, lightened a12 flywheel, a12 release bearing carrier, and i had to space out the clutch fork pivot on the gearbox with 3 washers to get a functioning clutch.
i should remove the full sandwich plate, so then the bellhousing mounts against the block, so i can eliminate some of the spacing washers ive fitted, but some washers are probly needed due to the thinner lightened flywheel.
the half plate 'dust cover' is a lot thinner as its only a cover at the bottom of the bellhousing, not a spacer between the block and bellhousing.
