Dropped the head and block off for cylinder head bolts to be drilled out,should get it back in the next 3 days.

Something depressing happen the other day.Driving on the highway,then all of a sudden ''WAPP'' bonet flips open.Was a bit frightening, pulled on the shoulder to see what happed .Bonet was in a mess flipped back and hit the hood at top of windsheild ,seems that the hinge ketch FAILED.Ponged It out but im Happy that everyone that was in the car is ok.Could have been worse

Thanks folks It's all in the Datto experience!! I got a new bonnet.
Will fix it up later in the week..

Sorry to see this man, yeah real frightening, you certainly aren't the only one on here this has happened to, but your car is much tidier than mine was when it happened, all the best with getting it sorted.

Scrapped down my Cylinderhead and took out the pistons and clean them.

Carbon deposits like that on the pistons are typical of a motor in need of new valve guide seals. Although the rest of the pistons look pretty coked up too. Was it using much oil?
