I had one of my presents turn up today. The ARP head studs turned up for engine but still waiting on ARP rod bolts , main studs and full felpro gasket set which should be a couple of weeks away. Cant wait to just get the thing running again as i got a very short taste of the noise from the engine before it lunched itself and now I want more. planning on taking a week off in a month when my worker is back to full time after an operation and will build motor then.

I was ment to be having a sick day due to having the bot but got a bit board and spent an hour or so on car doing something i wish i done at the start. Im getting rid of the airteck fuel pump and im putting in a holley red 7psi pump as ive never been happy with it but thought i better run a fuel pressure reg and gauge etc, also run the breather hose from rocker cover to bottle. I wanted to really go with black fittings but the red and blue ones are freebies so cant complain.

I still have to put the alloy annodised fittings on the webers but got this far for now. Also done a trial fit of webers with the heat deflector plate on and its only got about 5mm between it and strut tower so might trim another 5mm off it as it was a mission to fit the webbers onto the studs without wrecking all the paint on tower.
