I bet you're amped to drive this time. Passengering just isn't the same.
Will be great to be there again and yes, it will be nice to drive down. The cars not the flashest but "a work in progress".
Don't tell Shane tho' as he might ask me to do the first drive from Picton again. (ended up that I drove all the way) while Chris and him got mullocked.
In this case for me driving wasn't the greatest with a raging thirst going on, haha.

Sorry Brody, can't say how much as it is part of the total panel and paint job.
But if it's any help the whole job is BLOODY expensive.
We had to clean the old underseal off first as well and that took some serious elbow grease.
Iv completely cleaned up my shell, scraped it all of and gave it a light sand, all the guards, floor and everything. Done and ready to epoxy and primer. Guess i better start saving, plus all the parts on there way from datsport

Good progress. You've got stuck into it quickly.
Keep your build thread up to date on here, keen to see how you go.
Have you got much rust to deal with?
Im trying but the tapatalk app on my phone sais nzdatsun.com needs to update or something? :/.
Im in the process of buying 3 amazing condition doors for it at the moment.
And saving to get it sent down to rotorua to get blasted, then itl come back and into the bakeoven, 3 layers of epoxy and 5 layers of primer, then itl be time to sand the outer panels right down to 600grit.
But yea got a few rusty spots to fix up, (floor pan by the kickpanels both sides, in the water bay where all the shits built up over the years. Pretty bad in there. Around the front light support panels.
And a bit around the boot). step dads an ex fitter/welder so hes gonna weld in the new patches and make it all fit perfect. Not really any on the body so all the patches will be hidden away.
Paint jobs gonna be PERFECT. The restorer ive found has done alot of award winning hotrods and stuff.
As so many have seen the pix on my cell phone I thought I had better show to all the progress with this car as we now have it back in our garage with a coat of paint.

The panel beater wanted to fit the bumpers and tail lights before the car left his workshop he said he didn't want some idiots scratching it, took a while to figure out he was talking about Chris and I.
Cheeky sod!!!!!!
