Yeah so no manual conversion just yet. Can't afford to buy clutch etc and get it all fitted by the end of Aug for OS cruise. So going to get the windscreen trims sorted so they can get glued down and properly seal the seals on the back door windows and get a wof, maybe I can lower her instead looking at using R32 Skyline front struts in the back and lowering springs and shortened shocks in the front  Got a sweeeeet new low pro trolley jack from my parents for my birthday too! Stoked. It's going to get so much use. So jacked up the rear and went to adjust the hand brake as that's been slack for quite some time. Was so good to get the rear end a nice high working height. Tightend the adjuster up where the cables join still a bit average adjusted the wheels on each drum 4 clicks and it's still not the greatest :( drum shoes seem to have plenty of life left anything I've overlooked or done wrong?

youve really got to slacken off the cables at that point you have tightened and adjust both sides via the wheel cylinders - once these are set then adjust cable.

It doesnt take much to do when you know how to do them - can take a little time to get right though.

We just did Johns Crown ones the other day took about half hour to an hour.

Yeah defo fully unadjust cable first, then do each wheel at the brake adjuster.
You're gonna need that handbrake working tip top for the skidkhana too!

^What these guys said, and make sure you grease up those adjusters too! The Crown was easy because the adjusters were so nice and easy to turn, but my old 620 ones were corrroded solid and took all day - I think acetylene and a vice were involved too.

Alrighty! Adjusters seemed quite easy to turn but will grease them up anyway.

Thanks guys all sorted!! Took the drums off again and cleaned everything with brakleen wheel cylnder's look not that old. Did a test run up and down the drive and locks the rear wheels now instead of not doing anything yay. So the only other thing Damon mentioned last time was the spare wheel not being strapped down... it's one of those spares that stands up along the rear quarter instead of flat in the boot. It's got a cover that clips over it with a dome but not quite enough apparently. Might just get some cheap narrow width strops from bunnings and tie them to the mountings that are there for something to secure the wheel in place. Once rear window seals are done wof time!
