Will do bro. Build wont be for awhile as I'm heading overseas for a couple years and the car runs mint and pretty tidy body just some minor rust  no surprises there. so plan to strip the car down like what you done with yours, want to do it once n do it right.

Went to my grandads in the weekend. Hes a carpet layer and had some spare carpet around so we made up a dash mat. Its a perfect fit stoked with it :)

Also got the a15 on a engine stand and started stripping it down

I'm looking at going for a 'mild' setup still in the thought process stage of what to get and do..

My thoughts at the moment are a New 32/36 DGEV Webber Carb + Manifold, Extractors, Port and polish the head, Upgrade exhaust from standard to 1.5" or a 2"? H/D Clutch

This is my first time doing one up so any ideas and suggestions of people who have done up a series before please give me tips and advice!! :)

Cheers, Damo

gutted for you mate.

Can prob 'lend' you a legit datsun sunny for next month or so in Timaru, if you want to fly down here instead?
you can then sort out a car at your convenience rather than pressured to sort out right now, or get your Y
fixed and drive that down in a month or two when all repaired?.
I Would need to check with my brother firstly, but should be OK, as he does not move back
from Oz till later in June.

PS where are you starting your apprenticeship?

Txt me if I can help in anyway

Hey kitch, I was meant to start today as a carpet layer with my uncle Mark Furby, my Grandad Tony Furby used to have a business there but he just retired.

I'm on the hunt for a car at the moment but no luck so far, that's very generous of you! i will keep hunting and i'll let you know. Datsun really only needs the panels that u can see that are damaged and radiator support but it will take a while as i want it to be done properly painted and all that etc. So have put rego on hold for 9months for now... really bad timingi!
