A decent paint shop will have a fancy camera which when it takes a picture of a panel, will tell the operator what the colour blend is to match it. It's pretty clever tech.

Towed car back from garage today...wasn't going so well as there was a funny noise from when we towed it away.
Pulled over twice but couldn't identify the issue. 20m from home the front right wheel rolled away...car was dragged on the strut about 5-8m before she stopped.
Picked up the issue before it fell off but the mrs was towing me and didn't see me yelling/waving at her to stop.
Rang the garage and they say they didn't take the wheels off at all and that it isn't their problem. I'm finding that hard to believe as the rust was on the chassie right by the wheel torsion bar

Fuck that it shit as dude!
I'd be threatening them with media attention. Fair go strikes fear into the heart of small businesses. Tell them, this is a small town, if fair go picks this up, people will avoid your business like the plague.
I'd be getting fearsome angry with them if I was you.

that's bullshit pure and simple, wheel would have to come off to do a job like that, get angry mate its the only thing that works.

and take pics of damage etc.

have they supplied photos of the repair? if not ask for pics, if they cant provide them then its probably certain that the pics would identify the wheel being removed, post pics of the repair when you can. Id be keen to voice an opinion on wether the repair could be done with the wheel on.

Yeah but I'm second guessing myself.. Is anyone out there able to say they would have or wouldn't have taken the wheels off?
I'm positive I tightened the nuts up and I had no issues at all towing it there.
:puke: I'm all depressed and shit now.

No major damage (I hope):
- bent tension rod (was towing from it  had no were else to tow from)
- Bottom chunks off LCA
- Unsure of mag wheel
- Wheel studs
- the stabliliser that holds the sway bar to the LCA is all bent too.
- Unsure of brake discs and strutt

I'm not any where near an expert Tony but if they did that without taking the wheel off they are bloody marvellous. Don't call Swan go and confront them and make them put it right. Do what others have suggested already. Create a scene and threaten Fair Go if you have to. Great publicity for them (not).
