Kind of depends on how urgent you are for it, .......

I was planning to use it to pre fit up my motor when I get car back from panel beaters, my other one is not ready for fitting as yet.

If this other guy cant find one in his garage let me know

Have seen both, heat wrapping can speed up rusting if water gets underneath it.

No heat paint I have seen comes close to Ceramic coating (which is the business) - looks good, lasts for freakin ages and dramatically reduces temperature. You can place your hand between headers and side drafts on an A series quite confortably and you would not need a heat shield. BUT expensive to have done.

Cheers Flauski. Depending on how quick I need the headers, may get ceramic coating. Will make some enquiries on pricing and go from there. Wrap looks better than rust, ceramic looks better than both :) Thanks for the input :D

Urgent in the sense I want it done as of yesterday  (having the engine in and at at least test running was to be a birthday present to myself). Want to get motor in so I can get my gearbox mounts lined up and car running. Wanting to run in the engine then carbs prior to Akaroa, to sort out any kinks :)

Cheers dude. Did see them there, but hard to justify the cost plus shipping (also time it would take to get here). Kitch has been a super-duper awesome guy and offered up his 'spare' ute x-member, so I am very VERY happy! Driveable car, here I come! hehe (feel like it's my birthday or something...oh wait, IT IS! lmao)

Sounds like you don't need it anymore anyway, but here are the pics of mine.

As per my PM I think it may be from a B310 as it has three holes not two as per the one previously pictured above.

Cheers dude, yeah, Kitch has come to the rescue and was specifically after the ute x-member. Thanks though!
