Re: 1200 coupe z18et project
has been a bit of progress the last couple of days.
got around to painting the radiator support panel and the radiator mounts.
slapped on the inlet manifold.
soldered a new accelerator cable together as it needed to be a bit longer for the bigger throttle body.
put sound deadener inside the front of the car, got the stuff from supercheap and it is SUPER thick and goopey so hopefully it works well!
changed some leaky fuel lines the the back of the car.
wired up the heater properly which is my second to last wiring job on the car! (hopefully) now i just have to find a windscreen washer bottle and motor and put it somewhere and wire it up!
car is pretty much ready to start, tried the other night but stopped after i got fuel pressure because fuel was going everywhere haha!
I also found an electronic ignition book at work and it had my dizzy in it. I found that it is Variable Relucter type, not Hall or optical. and since RV is NOT square wave 12v signal (optical and Hall are square wave), i have to send back my computer to the megasquirt guy and get him to put another circuit in the ECU. but thats all good because then i wont be temped to start it and i'll work on other less fun stuff haha!

haha cheers mate! unfortunately its not an independant rear end but i am planning to get the rear lowered quite a lot more so there is very little gay between the tyre and guard!DAT620 wrote:

Re: 1200 coupe z18et project
done a few small things lately., fuel pump crapped out when i tried to start it so i am waiting for another one to show up.
Cert dude came by today. His name is Kendall Bradley. Is a real GC. i only have to put on a driveshaft loop, do something about the wheels sticking out of the guards, and tidy up the gearbox crossmember a little bit. then just make sure the brakes are up to the job and tidy little things up!

Re: 1200 coupe z18et project
I can take a photo of the s110 struts, have 4 sitting here. PS if anyone wants/needs them, you can have a pair for like 30 bucks including brakes?
Would like to keep one set spare for the "just in case"
(sorry to kind of hi-jack your thread )
