Hey chris that big steel bracket that looks like it holds the inlet manifold up - flag that - heaps of people told me to keep all those brackets etc as they "stop flex and the alloy manifold cracking etc"
But if you look on top of the manifold there is two or three more tube brackets with squashed ends bolted to head and manifold for the same thing -over kill if you ask me.
ive not used any of those and had no probs for 9 months of abuse - and you'll have more space for your brake lines etc to get around

Awesome job Chris the exhaust is looking
great it's tough work when the car is only on axle stands.
you have the joints looking relly neat should be nice and easy
to weld.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing it.

Your exhaust tip is awesome i was going to do a similar thing with mine when i had the white walls. Does exhaust come out the small pipe too?

make sure that its angled slightly down, or put in a drain hole.....you dont want it collecting water then rusting out
