My good friend in the UK has given me a set of Michelin S46 Full racing slicks. This is the car they came off
Lexus v8 E30 280hp at the wheels , 16x9's whiteline swaybars , eibach springs Koni Yellows and Ground control camber plates on the front.
it is the quickest car I have been in that cost less than $100,000 I have personally seenthis deal to TVR's M3's Evo's and GTR's at ruapuna. I have also done a lot of the suspension work on this car. this was around the same time I owned and E30. as it shares the Nissan IRS design I am transferrign a lot of my knowlage to my Nissan Z
Don't quite know how Im going to use these yet but they appear to have had very little use.
In other news Suspension arms / subframe is on the floor of the workshop waiting for the rebuild treatment.
I'm Still making up my mind on Diff ratio's for an LSD,
VLSD diff head ( will be getting the shimmyd up treatment )
Oh the Exhaust now has a flexi bellows and is about to get a removeable flange to make it less of a nightmare to remove and refit.
Also I am going to attempt a DIY removal of the training arm bushes useing a hole saw , A die grinder and a hacksaw + some punches.
As you can see the diff is also looking a bit sad & leaky so that was part of the reason I'm going to throw some new seals at it & i have some mint bearings off a low KMS diff I pulled apart to put on the center section.
I just need to find a way of removing the bearings without damageing them ( i think my gear puller set will be allright but I will have to see how it goes )
And you can see the custom CV axle I build some time ago anticipating this swap, I still need to do the other side.
I figured IF I am going to replace the CV boots I may as well do it once on the LSD axles.
