Quiet week, not much to report.
Other than my New U-Bolts turned, up so fixed the diff to the leafs, and threw in the NOS Koni rear shocx
Front wheel bearing kits arrive in the morning, so will get the front end assmbled over the weekend.

Plenty low left in those 'U' Bolts Kitch. Loving this thread, can't wait to see this on the floor.

Still jealous. Didn't like coupes much...but do now Argh, would love some time travel about now to see this thing finished!

Just spent an hour or two on the car.
fitted up the nice gloss black fuel tank
assembled up and fitted the rear shocks & nolethanes
Assembled the new brake Shoes, wheel cylinders etc
Assembled front hubs with my new wheel bearing that arrived this morning

Finally got all four shoes on

Running brake and fuel lines during the week ahead

Freaks me out seeing such an awesome job sitting there ready to fall off. Earth Quakes will do that to you, changes the way you look at things

Are you running a roadstar ute diff?
Which rear wheel cylinders did you buy? Since utes are front drum too, (I've read at 1200.com) they run a different rear wheel cylinder. When run in conjunction with factory datsun 1200 front discs, the ute wheel cylinders tend to over bias the braking to the rears. (Just what I've been told)
They say that under heavy braking (especially in the wet, and coming into corners) the rear can lock up 1st. Which can make for the kind of excitement we can all do without. That said I think with my s13 fronts, (And B310 rear wheel cylinders etc) that I have a tiny bit of rearward bias too. Although my shocks etc are pretty old and shit. (Although thus far it's not been a major issue)
I'm only asking since I see you've bought new wheel cylinders. And I can't remember which diff you're running.
All that said, given how magnificent the rest of your build is, the fitemnt of a brake bias valve might be warranted anyway.

I hadnt realised there may be a potential biasing issue.
Yes Roadstar H165 rear end, just ordered in wheel cylinders to suit the ute diff - unsure what model/type they are.
Where does the bias valve mount, I know you cant have it inside the cabin in a road car (as guys like you would take advantage of it on the skid pad!)

I'm 85% sure that sedan/coupe wheel cylinders will interchange with the ute ones. (In terms of fitment)
as for bias valves, I know what they do, and that they aren't allowed to be in the cabin. (as you've said) But thats about all I know about them sorry. lol
