Its very satisfying to build and engine yourself , i have done a few and its one of my favorite parts of a build.
Looks like you done a really good job, keep it up
Seconded. Very satisfying with lots learned and by far my favourite part of the build too
Is my first and by gosh it's been quite fun and exciting, and not too bad for a garage job
Cheers for your vote of confidence

Will post some more pics in the next few days, but for now I have hit a hurdle in my engine rebuild/swap... If anyone has a manifold that would suit my D2 Coby headers and Dellorto's (or knows of some I could source) for a sweet price, that would be fab! Was gonna run new headers and standard carb to run in the engine, but D2's don't seem to fit, and side draught manifold I currently own is modified and doesn't just bolt on! Grr lol. Any help or feedback appreciated

Do the manifold flanges foul each other Nick?
If so, just get a grinder, and carefully relieve the Inlet manifold till the go together. Just go nice and slow. I can lend you a head if you want to test fit them without having to put them in and out of the car.

Oh, are we talking where flanges mount on head?
I had to grind a fair bit out of my exhaust flanges, and give the dellorto ones a wee lick too

Bart, that would be ideal if you could. It is the flange that's the problem as I cannot even attemtp to bolt on the inlet manifold. Let us know when a good time would be to organise. Will be moving car this week back to fabricator to finish some rust maintenance and sort out my gearbox mount

Is there any combination that should just bolt on and work unmodified??
