This car dosnt have a roof rack tho, and is that metallic gold flake or candy yellow?
I think the roof rack has been mounted underneath, hence the massive wheels and raising kit, plenty of room under there for storing all sorts of shit.
i think the colour is metalic puke, its a standard "deebeer" (goggles) situation really.

This is what happens when you go away to the Rugby 7s for a weekend, and you have specimen flat mates and a pining English neighbour. (Bubblegoose)

Was done in a single weekend and all the suspension had to be unbolted everything undone and the engine dropped down.

Then put back togther like nothing had happened.

Go pro was hidden in the corner to catch my reaction, stand by for footage!

(only regret was they didnt change the gearbox when everything was out lol.)

Spending heaps of time on the car lately getting it ready for the Old school Nats.

Biggest job was installing my h190 lsd I bought from Japan through Hayatonka. Awesome service, cant reccommend Ewan enough!

I used a steel housing that Nickm gave me and Have changed the ratio from a 4.1 to a 3.7
Drives a millions times better now with usable gearing and no locked shudder.

A freind helped me put the diff togther and shim it all up etc. Amazing how much is involved in getting everything perfect.

Image

Had to change my axels to the thicker 29 spline ones so had to shorten them to fit my shortened housing. Simon at surfab helped me out with that.

Had a bit of trouble with the axels as one was bent but only realised when it was getting welding it back togther and running true.

Luckily Bart had another that we could replace the bent one with.

Comparison of the old smaller axels and the larger bent one.

Replaced almost all of the old shitty bushes with nolothane.

Cleaned out the fuel pump as it was making a few bandit noise's.

Had to drill out my rear seat seatbelt mounts plate as the new larger diff head was hitting it. Got rid of that, then the drive shaft decided to start touching the floor. So out came the hammer and I smashed up the area under the back seat and solved that problem.

Installed a fire extinguisher for when it catches fire. (When not if)
Image

Extended my exhaust tips to make it look wilder a,nd to stop exhaust shit covering the back panels

Tried leppas wheels on 13 by 8 hayashi commands, they fitted nicely.

And heres a random picture of cheerios wheel with some jack camber.

Still have a few small things to do before nats but the main things are done.

Im going to Join the AA so if my car breaks down they will take it back to Chch for me and give me a rental car. $128 for a year is easily worth it. Im not sure if the gearbox and fuel pump are going to hold up so I would be silly not to. It would be at least $500 to get it trucked back if something does happen.
