welcome dude!
I'm fully stoked this beast has stayed in Christchurch! A few of us got taken for a ride in it round the back of the airpoer one night by stu's mate Adam. (aka Torqued) (Stu was liquored up in the poassengers seat)
Even 5 up, I was well impressed by how hard it went. Bucketloads or mid range torque. :burnout:

Thanks, yea goes very well for how stock the motor is, i love how torquey it is and it holds the road very well - bloody fun to drive. Bet hes kicking himself now for selling it.
Aslong as weathers good i should be at the hanmer cruise on sat so make yaself known to me.

Hi all Im Scott From the UK :D

I decided to Join up on here as i was in NZ last year and thought it was awesome and just loved the amount of old skool metal still driving about.
Some of you on here may know me as i was living in the now a bit broken "RIVERSIDE" in CHCH and was on Old School NZ for a while under the same user name and had a Silver Hiace Van.

Well ive now returned back to the Uk full of ideas (many silly) for my rides back here.

Ive had a KE70 Corolla for a good many years now and have now just bought a 1978 Datsun B310 Sunny Coupe..........http://www.nzdatsun.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2793

This will be a cheapy project for now while I do the Corolla but i may go a little mad later lol

Ill prob pop on here from time to time as i know you guys know your stuff

Hi I'm Kevin, I'm a 32 year old Dato nut who has recently moved to Timaru. I have been into Datsuns since I brought my 1st car at 16. It was a smurf blue 120y Sunny which I used to learn about Datsuns enough to know I wanted to own more. I love the chrome on the old cars and can spot round head lighted cars a mile away!
Over the years I have owned 4 Sunnys, a 1200 sedan,1200 roadstar ute and a C20 Van along with an R32 Skyline and many other non Datsuns which I wont name lol. The last 2 Datsuns I still own, I have owned the ute for almost 10 years and spent 2 years completely stripping and restoring it. I have replaced the old 12 hundy with a fresh recond A15 that my Dad and I built with some head work,a mild cam, lightened flywheel and 5 speed gearbox so it definatly goes alot better now!
I use the Van as my daily driver to drive 25 min each way to and from work as the ute is more of a toy these days but I still liked the idea of cruising A15 stylz every day!

I am keen to meet any other members in the Timaru area that are keen on cruises or part swaps etc.
I also have access to brand new Thai parts and enjoy trading as a bit of a hobby. I can get 1200 bonnets, guards, grills Ute tail lights and tail gates, indicators and the odd sunny parts also. I find them great as they are straight bolt on parts and freshen up your ride better than any old rusted or panel beaten items. I have helped alot of people with these parts over the years and like to help out how ever I can. I have a shed full of spares and I'm always on trademe either buying or selling parts.

I hope to catch up and have a few yarns with some of you in the future or join in on any events in the area or close by.

Keepin it real old school stylz!
Kevin

Welcome aboard, you'll find many like-minded people here.
As events go the Labour Weekend cruise is a must, http://www.nzdatsun.com/forums/viewtopi ... =12&t=2785" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Like your selection and look forward to catching up on a cruise, although by the sound of your Roadstar that probably isn't likely in my A12 1200.
Hope you see you get really involved in the community.
Vaughan
